On April 17, 2025, Associate Professor of the Department of Computer Science, Oleksandr Petrovych Rusu, along with students Ivan Pankov and Vladyslav Ivanov from the Faculty of Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, and Computer Science, attended the regional forum “Innovative Odesa: People – Education – Business – Governance”, organized by the Kyiv Center for Public Expertise.
🎯 The forum’s main goal was to discuss the key needs and development opportunities for the Odesa region through the optimal use of its human, educational, technical, and financial resources. Participants also identified the existing and desired infrastructure to support education, entrepreneurship, innovation, and partnerships.
Among the forum participants were: 🔹 representatives of local executive authorities;
🔹 local self-government officials;
🔹 business owners;
🔹 heads of educational institutions;
🔹 members of business associations and networks, including Odesa IT Family — one of the university’s key partners.
💡 The forum served not only as a discussion platform for identifying the paths of educational and business development in the Southern region, but also as a space for building new connections and discovering new opportunities! 🔹 During one of the panel discussions, ideas emerged regarding potential expansion of collaboration between the Faculty of Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, and Computer Science and secondary education institutions. 🔹 The principals of Lyceum No. 51 (Yaroslava Holtvian-Tomachynska) and Gymnasium No. 26 (Tetiana Zhornytska) expressed interest in the “FloweX” startup (led by Ivan Pankov) and proposed collaboration with their students!
✨ We wish our faculty members and students continued inspiration and success! May your projects become the foundation for rebuilding Ukraine! 🇺🇦💙💛
