A Student of the Faculty of Arts and Design Organized Her First Cosplay Festival – Spring Nixen

Cosplay is the art of transforming into characters from movies, comics, anime, video games, or books. It is not just about creating a costume but also about acting, embodying the character’s personality, and capturing the atmosphere of their world. Cosplay culture has long gained worldwide popularity, and in Ukraine, it is actively developing, taking on new forms and formats.

On March 15, 2025, the art space “Siniy Krab” hosted a spectacular event for all lovers of creativity, cosplay, and contemporary art – the first-ever Spring Nixen (Fenrir Cosplay Party) festival. The event was organized by Olha Kutishevskа, a first-year master’s student in Design, who not only brought together young artists but also created new opportunities for the development of alternative art in our city.

The festival was a true explosion of creativity: stunning costumes, interactive zones, musical and theatrical performances, and an incredible atmosphere of artistic unity. Participants had the opportunity to showcase their characters, take part in contests, engage with like-minded individuals, and immerse themselves in a world of fantasy.

The event was attended by Associate Professor Tetiana Petukhova, Head of the Department of Design, and Nina Kravets, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Design, who supported the student’s initiative and praised the high level of festival organization.

💬 “We are always happy to see our students not only learning but also realizing their creative projects. This is not just an event; it is proof that young designers can influence the cultural landscape of the city, create something new, and inspire others,” – said Nina Kravets.

This festival marks an important milestone in our student’s professional growth. Ahead lie new creative experiments, collaborations with other artists, and many more exciting initiatives that will undoubtedly be supported by the Faculty of Arts and Design.
Congratulations on a successful start, and we wish you inspiration for future projects!
