International Humanitarian University and the Embassy of Palestine discussed prospects of scientific and educational cooperation

A delegation from the International Humanitarian University, consisting of First Vice-Rector, Doctor of Psychological Sciences, Professor Vasyl Lefterov, Head of the Academic Department, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor Larysa Raicheva, and Director of the Center for International Education, Alborz Pahlevanzade, visited the Embassy of the State of Palestine in Ukraine.

The audience with His Excellency Ambassador, Mr. Hashem Hassan Dajani, was dedicated to discussing issues related to the scientific and educational sector.

On behalf of the President of the University, Academician Serhiy Kivalov, and Rector Kostiantyn Hromovenko, the representatives of the IH University conveyed their greetings to His Excellency on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan and shared information about the structure and activities of the educational institution, which has a history of over 20 years, focusing on the development of international education. The Vice-Rector expressed interest in increasing the number of Palestinian applicants and establishing cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education of Palestine.

His Excellency Ambassador discussed the achievements and priority directions of the Palestinian government in the development of higher education, as well as the key tasks in this field. There was an exchange of views on the prospects for developing international cooperation in education and science.

The moderator of the meeting, Honorary Member of the Odessa Diplomatic Club, Professor Andriy Gorchakov, expressed hope that the introduction to the activities of the university would lead to effective continuation after the Ambassador's visit to IH University. "Odessa is currently home to a large Palestinian diaspora, and this creates favorable conditions for attracting applicants and choosing from the many in-demand specialties offered by the International Humanitarian University," said Andriy Gorchakov.

At the end of the warm meeting, the guests invited the Ambassador to visit the southern capital and presented a valuable gift – a bronze statue of Arman Emmanuel du Plessis, Duke of Richelieu, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of France, who became the most famous mayor of Odessa.
