The Embassy of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam received a courtesy visit from the delegation of the International Humanitarian University, represented by the First Vice-Rector, Doctor of Psychology, Professor Vasyl Lefterov and the Head of the Academic Department, Doctor of Economics, Professor Larysa Raicheva.

The audience with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam to Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova, Mr. Pham Hai, and representatives of the university was devoted to discussing issues of scientific and educational direction.

On behalf of the President of the University, Academician Serhii Kivalov and Rector Kostiantyn Hromovenko, representatives of the Moscow State University conveyed congratulations to His Excellency on his appointment as Ambassador to Ukraine and his arrival in Kyiv, and described the structure and activities of the educational institution with over 20 years of history, aimed, in particular, at the development of international education. The Vice-Rector of the University expressed interest in increasing the number of applicants from Vietnam and establishing cooperation with Vietnamese higher education institutions.

His Excellency spoke about the achievements and priority areas of development of higher education in Vietnam, as well as the priorities in this area.
The parties exchanged views on the prospects for the development of international cooperation in education and science.

Honorary Counselor of the Embassy of Vietnam, Honorary Member of the Odesa Diplomatic Club, Professor Andrii Horchakov expressed hope that the acquaintance with the university's activities, which began last year during the visit of Ambassador Nguyen Hong Thach to Odesa, would be effectively continued. “Odesa is now home to the largest Vietnamese diaspora in Ukraine, and the Honorary Consulate is operating. All of this creates favorable conditions for attracting applicants and choosing one of the many popular specialties offered by the International Humanitarian University,” said Andrii Gorchakov.

At the end of the warm meeting, the guests invited Mr. Ambassador to visit the southern capital and presented him with a valuable gift - a bronze statue of Armand Emmanuel du Plessis, Duke de Richelieu, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of France, who became the most famous mayor of Odesa.
