Meeting of students and faculty of the Department of Cinema and Television with stakeholders of the Reporter TV channel: discussion of educational and professional programs.

The Department of Cinema and Television of the Faculty of Art and Design of the International Humanitarian University hosted a meeting of stakeholders with the faculty and students.

The main purpose of this event was to discuss the educational and professional programs of the first (bachelor's) and second (master's) levels of higher education in the field of knowledge B1 “Audiovisual art and media production” for the academic year 2025-2026.

During the lively discussion, employers of future graduates, content producer of the Reporter TV channel Anastasia Saveskul and head of the press service of the National University “Odesa Law Academy”, correspondent of the Reporter TV channel Jacqueline Danylenko, expressed constructive suggestions for improving the educational programs of the specialties “Film and Television Director”, “Film and Television Operator”, “Announcer and TV Presenter”.

In addition, during the meeting, with the participation of the Head of the Department of Film and Television, Professor Yaroslav Lupiy, Associate Professor of the Department of Film and Television Serhii Danylenko and Senior Lecturer of the Department of Film and Television Serhii Aksionov, an analysis of the content of educational components and professional competencies required for the training of specialists in the field of knowledge B1 “Audiovisual art and media production” was conducted. They also discussed the list of professional skills and competencies required to train specialists in the field of television.

Stakeholders expressed their readiness to support the practical training of students of various courses, as well as to provide them with the opportunity to undergo introductory, technological, production and pre-diploma internships at the TV channel. During the meeting with the Department's faculty, representatives of the Reporter TV channel offered to hold guest lectures and master classes at the International Humanitarian University with the participation of the channel's employees and expressed their intention to continue cooperation with the Department's graduates.

The meeting, organized by the Department of Cinema and Television, allowed us to take into account the opinions of all participants (stakeholders, teachers, students and graduates), which had a positive impact on the further development of the curriculum.

The opinions expressed will be taken into account when revising the curricula and educational and professional programs for training specialists in the field of knowledge B1 “Audiovisual art and media production”.
