Arina Leonovna
Head of the Center for Scientific Competencies and Academic Writing, Head of the Department of Germanic and Oriental Languages and Translation, PhD in Philology, Associate Professor
Arina Leonivna Frumkina graduated in 2010 from the Faculty of Romance and Germanic Philology of the I. I. Mechnikov Odesa National University with a degree in Language and Literature and received a master's degree in philology, a teacher of German and English languages and literatures.
During her student years, she studied in the Federal Republic of Germany under the grant programs of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), namely:
1. The 17th Landeskundlicher Sommerkurs für Studierende des Faches Germanistik (17th Country Studies Course for German Studies Students), Regensburg, Germany.
2. International Summer Course at the University of Augsburg, Germany (Der Internationale Sommerkurs der Universität Augsburg).
3. Hessische internationale Sommeruniversität, Marburg, Germany.
From 2010 to 2017, she worked as a lecturer at the Department of Foreign Languages of the Faculty of Natural Sciences at the I. I. Mechnikov Odesa National University.
In 2011-2014, she studied for a postgraduate degree at the Department of German Philology of the I. I. Mechnikov Odesa National University, and in May 2015 defended her dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Philological Sciences in the specialty 10.02.04 - Germanic Languages on the topic: “Phonostylistic Variation of Vowel Onsets in Federal German Television Discourse (an Instrumental Phonetic Study)”.
Since September 2017, she has been working as an Associate Professor at the Department of Foreign Languages at the National University “Odesa Law Academy”.
In 2020, she was promoted to associate professor.
From 2023 to the present, Arina Leonivna has continued her career as the Head of the Department of Germanic and Oriental Languages and Translation at the International Humanitarian University.
Over the years of her scientific and pedagogical activity, she has received numerous grant-funded advanced training programs, not only in Ukraine but also in the Federal Republic of Germany:

Arina Frumkina, PhD in Philology, Associate Professor, is the author of more than 80 scientific works on the study of German-language TV discourse, linguodidactics and methods of teaching foreign languages.

Arina Frumkina, PhD in Philology, Associate Professor, is the author of more than 80 scientific works on the study of German-language TV discourse, linguodidactics and methods of teaching foreign languages.
The Center for Academic Competence and Academic Writing is a unique structural unit of the university that performs the following tasks:
1. Coordination of activities to improve the level of scientific activity at the University.
2. Organization of the educational process and training of internationally recognized scientific personnel capable of organizing and conducting research, preparing a project proposal and report, finding foreign project partners, competently preparing and submitting a grant application, conducting high-quality research at the level of modern scientific achievements, writing a high-quality scientific article in English based on the results of the research for submission to the best world publications.
3. Coordination of scientific and pedagogical staff research, improving the quality of the results of research work performed at the departments within the working hours of teachers.
4. Assistance in the implementation of research works carried out in accordance with the established procedure, which are carried out at the expense of various funds, including state budget funds, works financed by grants, as well as other sources of funding.
5. Organization and holding of scientific, scientific-practical, scientific-methodical seminars, conferences on the basis of the University. Promoting the participation of teachers, postgraduate students and students in conferences of various levels outside the University.
6. Involvement of students of the University, including foreigners, in research activities, organization of participation of students in scientific competitions and competitions of scientific works of various levels.
7. Development of various forms of scientific cooperation, including international, with institutions and organizations that are not part of the higher education system to solve complex scientific problems, implementation of research and development results; scientific cooperation with leading research institutions of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, higher education institutions and non-governmental institutions.
8. Organization of the educational process for the development of communication and language skills necessary for a modern scientist.
9. Promoting an increase in the number of publications in international scientometric databases and raising the status of research at the University.
