On September 1, 2005, the University Library hospitably opened the doors of the reading room for teachers and students.

The initial fund was 3 thousand copies of books. Now the library's collection is universal in content and consists of textbooks, manuals, monographs, reference books, brochures, periodicals, dissertations, and abstracts. The total number of descriptions: 685,408.

In addition, teachers and applicants for higher education of IHU on the basis of the Academy-University Agreement have access to the scientometric database Scopus; Scholar (Google Academy), Mendeley, Research Gate, Academia.edu, ResearcherID, Selected Works, Digital Commons Network, ORCID.

In the reading room of the library there is a general access information retrieval system: “lib.onua.edu.ua” (Electronic Catalog).

Today the library is an information center of the university, playing an important role in educational, pedagogical, scientific and cultural processes.

The strategic goal of the library is to maximize accessibility to both its own resources and world information resources. Much more needs to be done in the near future to ensure that the library meets the requirements of the 21st century - the century of the information society.
